Homemade Clean Eating Chips

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 9 corn tortillas

Directions:

Oven:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the seasonings together in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Stack the tortillas. Cut them in half using a sharp knife, then cut each half again, forming triangle-shaped pieces.
  4. Place a wire baking rack on the baking sheet. Place half of the tortilla triangles in a single layer on the rack. Spray the top of each tortilla with cooking spray and sprinkle with half of the seasoning mix.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until almost crisp. The chips will finish crisping as they cool. Repeat with the second batch. Enjoy!

Stove Top: (notice the cutting instructions are different)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the seasonings together in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Place 3 or 4 tortillas on your skillet. Spray the top of each tortilla with cooking spray (very little!) and sprinkle with half of the seasoning mix.
  4. Stack the tortillas. Cut them in half using a sharp knife, then cut each half again, forming triangle-shaped pieces.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until almost crisp. The chips will finish crisping as they cool. Repeat with the second batch. Enjoy!
